About TrueBlue
JetBlue TrueBlue is the loyalty program for JetBlue Airways, the US's largest independent low-cost carrier by fleet size, known for operating a premium leisure and business travel product at competitive prices. TrueBlue points are redeemable at a fixed 1.4¢–1.5¢ per point for JetBlue flights - a consistently predictable value that makes the program one of the simpler and more transparent in US aviation. JetBlue operates primarily in the Northeast US, Caribbean, and transatlantic routes from New York and Boston, with a growing presence in Latin America and Florida leisure markets.
Four US transferable currencies transfer to TrueBlue: American Express Membership Rewards (1:0.8, 24–48 hours), Chase Ultimate Rewards (1:1, instant), Citi ThankYou Points (1:1, instant), and Bilt Rewards (1:1, instant). The Amex-to-JetBlue ratio is disadvantageous (1,000 Amex points = 800 TrueBlue points), making Chase, Citi, and Bilt significantly better transfer options for JetBlue redemptions. For Chase Sapphire cardholders or Citi Strata Premier holders, instant transfers to JetBlue provide access to one of the few truly predictable point-to-value redemptions in US domestic travel.
JetBlue Mint - the airline's business class product - is the program's most aspirational offering for points travelers. Mint operates on transatlantic routes (New York JFK and Boston BOS to London, Amsterdam, Paris, and other European cities) and transcontinental US routes (JFK/BOS to LAX/SFO). Mint features a fully lie-flat suite with a sliding door on newer configurations - the first and currently only domestically-designed US airline business class with a closing door on transcontinental routes. Mint is priced relatively accessibly in TrueBlue points compared to flagship carriers' premium cabin products.
TransferPoints tracks transfer bonuses in real time across all major programs. Transfer ratios, active bonuses, and program rules on this page are verified against official bank and airline sources and update automatically. Visit the official TrueBlue website
Why transfer points to TrueBlue?
Fixed ~1.4¢ Per Point - Transparent, Predictable Redemptions
JetBlue TrueBlue points redeem at a fixed rate against JetBlue's cash fares - approximately 1.4¢ per point consistently. There are no saver/standard tiers, no dynamic pricing fluctuations, and no award charts to study. When a $280 JetBlue ticket is available, it costs about 20,000 TrueBlue points. This predictability makes TrueBlue ideal for travelers who dislike complexity: search for the cash fare, divide by 0.014, and you know the points cost. Chase, Citi, and Bilt all transfer at 1:1 instantly, making point-to-value calculation straightforward.
JetBlue Mint: Lie-Flat Suite with Door on Transatlantic and Transcontinental
JetBlue Mint is the airline's business class - and uniquely among US low-cost carriers, Mint offers a fully lie-flat suite with a sliding privacy door on select aircraft configurations. On transatlantic routes (JFK–London, BOS–London, JFK–Amsterdam, JFK–Paris), Mint features a fully enclosed suite comparable to Delta One and United Polaris, priced at TrueBlue points that can be earned quickly from everyday Chase or Citi spending. The transatlantic Mint cabin on the A321XLR is a competitive premium product at rates well below most competing carriers' business class.
Instant Transfers from Chase, Citi, and Bilt
Three of the four US banks that transfer to JetBlue process instantly: Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou Points, and Bilt Rewards. This makes JetBlue one of the most tactically accessible programs for last-minute travel - a flight booking within hours of departure can be funded by an instant Chase or Citi transfer. Amex transfers at a disadvantageous 1:0.8 ratio, making Chase and Citi the preferred pathways for JetBlue. The combination of instant access and fixed redemption value eliminates the two main friction points in award travel: timing uncertainty and value calculation.
Caribbean and Florida - Strong Coverage for Leisure Routes
JetBlue operates the most comprehensive network among US carriers for Caribbean leisure routes - Jamaica, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Turks & Caicos, Aruba, Cayman Islands, and 25+ Caribbean destinations - with frequent service from Northeast US cities. For leisure travelers targeting beach destinations, TrueBlue provides better flight options per point than trying to reach Caribbean routes through Star Alliance or Oneworld programs. JetBlue also operates strong Florida service from Boston and New York, giving Northeast-based leisure travelers abundant redemption options.
How to transfer points to TrueBlue
Follow these four steps every time. The golden rule: find available award space before transferring - transfers are irreversible.
- 1
Find the award first
Search for award availability on TrueBlue's website before moving a single point. Note the flight number, date, cabin, and exact miles required. Award space can disappear at any moment - and transfers are irreversible.
- 2
Check for an active transfer bonus
Scroll up to the Current Bonuses table. If a bonus is live (e.g. +20%), you get 20% more miles for free - 10,000 points transferred becomes 12,000 miles. Timing your transfer to an active bonus is one of the easiest ways to stretch your balance without spending more.
- 3
Execute the transfer from your bank

TrueBlue award chart - highlights
Chart type: Fixed revenue-based (points = cash × fixed multiplier - approximately 1.4¢ per point)
TrueBlue uses revenue-based pricing - points are pegged approximately to JetBlue's cash fares at a rate of ~1.4–1.5¢ per point. There is no fixed award chart. Simply search for the flight you want, divide the cash price by $0.014 to estimate points needed. Mint business class is priced proportionally.
Points pricing varies with cash fare availability. Revenue-based model means peak periods cost proportionally more. Amex transfers at 1:0.8 - use Chase, Citi, or Bilt (1:1) for JetBlue. The fixed ~1.4¢ rate makes value calculation simple: cash fare ÷ 0.014 = approximate points needed.
How much are TrueBlue miles worth?
The value of a TrueBlue mile varies significantly depending on redemption type. Economy redemptions typically deliver near the base valuation; business and first class awards - especially on partner airlines - can return 3–10× more per mile than the average.
Worked example
JFK to London Mint RT retails ~$2,800. At 1.4¢/point: 200,000 points - but that's high for a Mint award. Check actual Mint availability as flight-specific cash prices vary. A $350 Boston–Cancún OW = 25,000 points at 1.4¢. Consistent value across all cabins.
Valuations per TPG April 2026 (1.5¢ average). Actual value varies by specific route, date, and cabin availability.
Best credit cards for earning TrueBlue miles
JetBlue rarely has a compelling US co-branded card. The most effective strategy is earning transferable points from a premium bank card and converting them when you are ready to book.
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
60,000-point welcome bonus at 1:1 instant to TrueBlue + 3× on dining, travel, and streaming. Best starter Chase card for JetBlue accumulation. Instant transfers enable last-minute Caribbean and Mint bookings.
Citi Strata Premier℠ Card
60,000-point welcome bonus at 1:1 instant to TrueBlue + 3× on air travel, hotels, dining, and supermarkets. Excellent category earn rates for JetBlue-focused collectors; instant transfer capability.
Bilt Mastercard
Instant 1:1 transfer to TrueBlue. Earns points on rent with no transaction fee. Best for JetBlue collectors who pay rent and want to convert monthly housing costs into Caribbean vacation flights.
TrueBlue vs other Independent programs
TrueBlue competes with Southwest Rapid Rewards and Delta SkyMiles for US domestic and Caribbean leisure travel from transferable currencies. Revenue-based programs trade flexibility for simplicity; the differences are in bank access, route networks, and premium cabin options.
Bottom line
Use JetBlue TrueBlue for Mint business class on transatlantic or transcontinental routes (unique value), Caribbean travel from Northeast US cities, and when you hold Chase, Citi, or Bilt (all 1:1 instant to JetBlue). Use Southwest Rapid Rewards when you primarily fly Southwest domestically and hold Chase cards - the 1.5¢/point rate is marginally better for pure domestic redemptions. Use Delta SkyMiles for the broadest US domestic network (280+ cities) and when you accumulate miles organically through Delta flights - but note Flying Blue or Virgin Atlantic are better for accessing Delta One business class with transferable currencies.
